i-Balita was the flagship news broadcast of Net 25 (DZEC-TV) in the Philippines, replacing Newsbeat.
The newscast is based on News5's slogan "Higit sa Balita, Impormasyon at Kaganapan, Aksyon" which literally means "Beyond the news, information, and events, Action." Aksyon premiered on April 5, 2010 at 9:00 pm with Paolo Bediones and Cheryl Cosim as its first anchors.
It was successfully launched on February 21, 2011 at exactly 4:00 in the morning, airing its first program Andar ng Mga Balita hosted by Martin Andanar, which was actually a simulcast of the morning news program on News FM of the same title.
After seven years, the program was re-launched as Nagmamahal, Manay Gina in the tri-media: DZBB, Balita and GMA Network.
However, the Magandang Balita Biblia is not a translation of the Good News Bible but only a parallel translation of it.
Mata ng Agila (EagleEye) is the flagship evening news broadcast of Net 25 (DZEC-TV) in the Philippines, replacing i-Balita.
Pangunahing Balita (Headliner) is the first Filipino language newscast of ABC 5 from 1962 to 1972 when DZTM-TV-5 was closed down due to Martial Law.
