The chain of ijazah of spiritual Sufi transmission from al-Faqih Muqaddam Sayyid Muhammad traces back to the Islamic prophet Muhammad via his cousin Ali and from him, his son Husain.
His father awarded him Khilafat (Ijazah in Sufism) on 3 Zul-Qada 1311 AH (10 May 1894) and gave him written Ijazat-nama (Sanad).
He studied Arabic Language and Literature at King Abdulaziz University, Mecca and got a theological license in Islamic Studies (Ijazah) from the Darul Uloom Deoband, India.
