A Marriage Minuet is a two-act serio-comic play by David Wiltse.
When asked in 2001 to contribute a new version of Minuet in Hell for Big Finish Productions' range of audio dramas featuring Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor, Lear extensively rewrote the play but due to the demands of the recording schedule producer Gary Russell completed the final episodes of the script and took a co-writer's credit.
His position at court led to the performance of three sets of his minuets for the birthdays of King George II and Queen Caroline, each "perform'd at the Ball at Court" in 1734 and 1735.
Anna Magdalena, a 1998 Hong Kong film titled after the Notebook; Minuet in G is featured extensively throughout the movie.
His work also includes live performance: his Plaza Minuet for Tate Triennial 2006 used involved choreographed movement about the allery space by Baroque-trained dancers.
