Capital Development Authority (CDA), is a public benefit corporation responsible for providing municipal services in the Islamabad city (Capital city of Pakistan), established on June 14, 1960, first by an executive order issued on June 24, 1960 entitled the Pakistan Capital Regulation, to be superseded by the CDA ordinance issued on June 27, 1960.
Branches include Municipal Services, Assessment Services, and the Special Areas Board.
Prior to the enactment of the Act, Glen Shortliffe, a special advisor appointed by the provincial government to make recommendations on municipal governance in Ottawa-Carleton, recommended in 1999 that the new amalgamated city of Ottawa be designated as officially bilingual, with municipal services available in both English and French.
The council provides various municipal services to Adora, Abigail, Beit Hagai, Beit Yatir, Carmel, Eshkolot, Livne, Ma'ale Hever, Ma'on, Mitzpe Asa'el, Negohot, Otniel, Sansana, Shim'a, Susia, Telem and Teneh Omarim.
During the 1950s and 1960s, major projects completed by the firm included such Philadelphia landmarks as Veterans Stadium, the Packer Avenue Marine Terminal, the Municipal Services Building, and the Federal Courthouse.
