Skate parks, related obstacles/ramps and locations designed for extreme sport utilization have made their way into the media over time, such as with the aforementioned Burnside Skatepark being included in the movie Free Willy.
The parks throughout Stansbury Park include baseball diamonds, soccer fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, play areas for children, skateboard park, and an astronomical observatory.
He has done skateboarding stunt work in such films as Freddy Got Fingered starring Tom Green, and can be seen in skateboard videos such as Flip-Sorry, Tony Hawk's Great Skatepark Tour, and in the White Album, a documentary about the professional skateboarder and snowboarder Shaun White.
The additional attractions to keep fans busy and entertained throughout the day included, among other things: a skatepark show, hair designers, temporary airbrush tattoo artists, graffiti boards for budding artists, customized cars inspired by MTV's hit TV show "Pimp My Ride", and numerous vendors.

Career highlights include five X Games medals, earning titles in 2005 at the Skatepark of Tampa Pro Vert Contest and Shanghai Showdown, ranking 2nd in the 2007 World Cup of Skateboarding Vert World Rankings, 11 years skating on the Vans Warped Tour, and skating with Tony Hawk’s Boom Boom Huckjam.
Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was Guest-of-Honour at the official launch of Xtreme Skatepark @ East Coast on Saturday, 29 August accompanied by Mr Mah Bow Tan, Minister for National Development, and Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports.
The Skatepark of Tampa also appeared on the MTV series Rob & Big that featured professional skateboarder and entrepreneur Rob Dyrdek.
It is also the location of an ACTION bus interchange, a youth centre, a bowling alley, Tuggeranong SkatePark, the Tuggeranong Arts Centre and Lake Tuggeranong College.
An ESPN X Games Skatepark was also planned as the main entertainment venue on the site.
The skatepark at Willamalane Park is completed and the grand opening ceremony gets a visit from internationally acclaimed Tony Hawk and his crew.
