Neil Hubbard

Neil Terrence Hubbard is a British guitarist who performed with Juicy Lucy (band), The Grease Band, Bluesology, Joe Cocker, Roxy Music, Kokomo, B.B. King, Kevin Rowland, and Tony O'Malley; and played on the original 1970 concept album, Jesus Christ Superstar.

The Grease Band

Bassist Alan Spenner and rhythm guitarist Neil Hubbard would go on to play in the UK white soul band Kokomo; following this, Spenner would extensively work in support of the late 1970s/early 1980s incarnation of Roxy Music.


Alan Spenner

Alan Henry Spenner (7 May 1948 – 11 August 1991) was a British bass player who performed with Wynder K. Frog, The Grease Band, ABC, David Coverdale, David Soul, Joe Cocker, Lynda Carter, Peter Frampton, Ted Nugent, Mick Taylor, Murray Head, Kokomo, Roxy Music, and played on the original 1970 concept album Jesus Christ Superstar.

Henry McCullough

McCullough played on The Grease Band's eponymous album after splitting with Cocker, and during his time with the band he also appeared as lead guitarist on the original 1970 recording of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar and on the progressive Spooky Tooth album The Last Puff.

Patrice Holloway

She sang background vocals with her sister on many records for other artists, including Joe Cocker and the Grease Band's 1968 cover version of The Beatles' "With a Little Help from My Friends", later the theme song to the 1980s television series The Wonder Years.

In addition to Russell, the label signed other talents, such as Tulsa Sound artists J. J. Cale, The Gap Band, and Dwight Twilley Band, as well as Lyons and Clark, Freddie King, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Phoebe Snow, and The Grease Band.
