In the 2010 Robbins v. Lower Merion School District "WebcamGate" case, plaintiffs charged two suburban Philadelphia high schools with secretly spying on students – by surreptitiously activating iSight webcams embedded in MacBook laptops issued to students – infringing on their privacy rights.
