Águeda Municipality, a municipality in the district of Aveiro, Portugal
From 1993 to 1995 Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira designed and built an exhibition and sales hall at the Revigrés factory site near Águeda.
As Robert Craufurd's aide-de-camp during 1809 and 1810, Shaw was on the staff of the Light Division at the Coa and the Agueda, and, with William Campbell, prepared and edited the Standing Orders of the Light Division (printed in Home's Précis of Modern Tactics, pp. 257–277).
The spa at Santa Águeda (now a psychiatric hospital) was the location of the 1897 murder of Spanish politician Antonio Cánovas del Castillo by Michele Angiolillo.
