Agnes M. Sigurðardóttir (born October 19, 1954 in Ísafjörður, Iceland) was elected Bishop of Iceland in 2012.
In 1916 a group was formed in Stykkishólmur, 1917 in Akureyri to be followed with groups in the principal towns of Hafnarfjörður, Eyrarbakki, Akranes and Ísafjörður.
The school is also currently used as the teaching facility for the Vestmannaeyjar department of the University of Iceland and has hosted many remote lectures, to Ísafjörður and Bíldudalur as well as a few other countries.
The European Championship in swamp football is held in Ísafjörður in the north west part of Iceland.
