Ottawa Sports and Entertainment spokesman Jeff Hunt stated that due to delays and the desire to host the championship game three to four years after establishing a team, Ottawa would not be hosting the 102nd Grey Cup.

CFL commissioner Mark Cohon confirmed on June 4, 2012 that Ottawa would not be hosting the 2014 Grey Cup game due to delays in the construction of the stadium.
