After a year away from the NFL, he played with the Milwaukee Badgers during the 1922 NFL season.
During that time he won NFL Championships with Canton in 1922 and 1923, as well as a third with the Cleveland Bulldogs in 1924.

Morgan O'Brien was an engineer at the A. E. Staley Company, located in Decatur, Illinois, as well as a football fan who assisted George Halas in managing the administrative matters of the Decatur Staleys (renamed the Chicago Bears in 1922).
When Chamberlin took over as coach in 1922 from Cap Edwards, the Bulldogs went undefeated and won the NFL championship.
