Living in Washington, DC, Crisher began performing his own original music regularly in local D.C. clubs and events including the Velvet Nation party at Nation, Tracks, Millennium at the 9:30 Club, Ozone, The Capitol Ballroom,and Cobalt and in NYC nightclubs Metronome, Avalon, Splash, Webster Hall, Starlight, and Home.
L.A.B. has played to large-scale audiences at venues like RFK Stadium for the Annual HFStival in 2001 and at the famous 9:30 Club in Washington D.C.
Later in the year, during a show at Washington D.C.'s 9:30 Club, Alex fell off the drum riser and broke his right arm.
The album was critically well received and the band performed a handful of shows in New York City as well as the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. with Everclear, but shortly thereafter, the group inexplicably disbanded once again.
On September 1, 2003, they closed out their career with a sold-out show at the renowned 9:30 Club, dubbed the "one last slice" show.
