Dominant and recessive forms of PEO can be caused by genetic mutations in the ANT1, POLG, POLG2 and PEO1 genes.

Digea, the company established by the private national scale television stations (Alpha TV, Alter Channel, ANT1, Makedonia TV, Mega Channel, Skai TV and Star Channel), has undertaken digital broadcasting of television programs for private stations of national range as well as for any other stations choosing to use its services.
The show was mostly recorded at ANT1 studios in Athens, but the characters visited many areas inside and outside the city such as Arachova, Patmos and Hydra.
In 2004, he decided to take part in the talent show "Fame Story 2", shown on the Greek TV channel ANT1, where he was one of the favourites to make it to the finals due to his unique style of performing and his low-profile character.
Leading up to the album's release, Martakis appeared on a number of television shows including "Mes Tin Kali Hara" (with Natalia Germanou) and "Kafes me tin Eleni" (with Eleni Menegaki) on Alpha Channel, as well as a sit down interview with Tatiana Stefanidou on "Axizi Na To Deis" on ANT1, where he also performed some songs off the album.
