The topic of "A Hymn to the Pharaoh" is not Zimredda; however, the war of Aziru son or Abdi-Ashirta, the constant lookout, and reporting by Zimredda is addressed at the very end of this letter.
He was the son of Abdi-Ashirta, the previous Egyptian vassal of Amurru and a direct contemporary of Akhenaten.
Aziru, and his father Abdi-Ashirta, were some of the major instigating forces-(in the north) causing conflict with the Egyptian pharaoh, as cities–('city-states'), and regions were under constant threat and destruction in the northern, and western Canaan region-(Lebanon, and southern Syria).
:"Say to the king, my lord, my Sun: Message of Rib-Hadda, your servant. May the Lady of Gubla grant power to the king, my lord. I fall at the feet of my lord 7 times and 7 times. Moereover, give thought to Gubla, your loyal city. Earlier, 'Abdi-Aširta attacked me, and I wrote to your father, (i.e. Amenhotep III), "Send the royal archers, and the entire land will be taken in a day.
Pawura's death is mentioned in the Rib-Hadda letters except EA 117, and 124, along with the demise of others, or the warring with the Habiru, or the leaders of Ammuru: (Abdi-Ashirta, or his son, Aziru).
One other reference in EA 104, entitled: "Ullassa taken" is to Abdi-Ashirta's son, "Pu-Bahla", presumably a separate 'Pu-Baal'.
Rib-Hadda was involved in a long-standing dispute with Abdi-Ashirta, the ruler of Amurru (probably in southeastern Lebanon and southwestern Syria), who hired mercenaries from among the Habiru, Shardana, and other warlike tribes.
