Before the Doctor can return her to Earth, she is kidnapped by Adam Mitchell, who is travelling through time to kidnap the Doctor's companions.

Since leaving Coronation Street, he has played roles such as the part of Adam Mitchell in the 2005 series of Doctor Who with Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper, appearing in two episodes, "Dalek" and "The Long Game", and provided an audio commentary for the DVD of these episodes.
In 2012, Hendrix published an intimate biography of his brother titled Jimi Hendrix: A Brother's Story. It was co-written by Adam Mitchell and published by St. Martin's Press.
