Lefevre Peninsula

The Lefevre Peninsula lies approximately 15 kilometres northwest of the centre of the city of Adelaide, South Australia.

Osmond Gilles

He is remembered by Gilles Street in the Adelaide Central Business District, Glen Osmond Road, OG Road and the Adelaide suburbs of Glen Osmond and Gilles Plains.

Young Bingham Hutchinson

Purchasing a number of town blocks and other property in the Encounter Bay district, Hutchinson was also made South Australia’s second emigration agent, from September 1837 to February 1838, following the dismissal of John Brown.


Benacre, Glen Osmond

The colony of South Australia was proclaimed on 28 December 1836 at Holdfast Bay, but with no reliable fresh water supply, the initial settlement was by the River Torrens at Adelaide or more specifically, Adelaide city centre and North Adelaide.

Main North Road

From the Adelaide city centre, it passes through the Adelaide Parklands and the suburbs of Thorngate, Medindie, Medindie Gardens, Nailsworth, Prospect, Sefton Park, Blair Athol and Enfield before reaching the major intersection at Gepps Cross.
