Adolf Mahr (7 May 1887 - 27 May 1951) was the best-known Nazi in Ireland in the 1930s and one of the most controversial figures in twentieth-century Irish history.
During his time at the University, Barb was selected to work on archaeological digs by Adolf Mahr in support of whom he gave testimony after the war during the latter's denazification process.
