Without consulting or letting anyone know, at 14, he applied and passed a scrimmage at the Sports mastery school Loro Boriçi, a high school specializing in producing young football players.

After spending some of his teen years at the Tirana Circus, as an acrobat, and also excelling in swimming, Kola was seen playing football by then middle school teacher Aurel Verria, who referred him to Kola's first coach at KF Tirana's youth, Enver Rada.
The new coach gave his resignations and was substituted by coach Agustin Kola and eventually by coach Alban Tafaj.
He created the attacking trio Muça-Minga-Kola at Tirana that was probably the best and most prolific attacking trio in the Albanian football at all times.

Along with Agustin Kola, Mirel Josa, Sulejman Mema, Shkelqim Muca, Bedri Omuri and Millan Baçi, Minga was a member of the Tirana side of the 1980s that won four national championships and three national cups.
