He died on May 7, 1974 and was succeeded by his son Sultan Ahmad Shah.
After winning the 2007 Merdeka Tournament, he was selected as the head coach for senior team by the FAM president Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah.
Datuk Loganathan Arumugam was conferred the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) award which carries the title of “Datuk” in conjunction with Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang's 74th birthday on 24 October 2008.
The bridge finally completed in 1975 and it was officially opened by the Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang.
Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom binti Abdullah (née Anita) is the current Sultanah of Pahang and second wife of Sultan Ahmad Shah.
