Muhammad Shah was very pleased with his service and gave him the title of "Burhan-ul-Mulk".
Some say the Jaivana Cannon was only fired once by the Jai Singh II, as a test-fire in 1720 and the then Mughal Emperor Muhammad Shah is known to have attended the event before ousting the Sayyid Brothers from power.

He was a favorite of the Emperor Muhammad Shah but was appointed governor of Allahabad in 1739 against his wishes due to the Vizier Qamar ud-Din Khan and re-called to court in 1743 C.E. He was naturally of free speech and the emperor fond of his repartee had him more license in his conversation than was consistent with respect to his own dignity when he was on business with the emperor which by degrees disgusted Muhammad Shah and made him wish his removal from office.
After Muhammad Shah was attacked & deposed by Ahmad Shah Abdali in 1748 young Prince Anwer Ali then about 17 & half year old escaped to his grand Aunt Princess Jahanarra & hid in a place in Arrah, Bihar which was infested with bears.
Unable to halt the advancements of Sultan Mohammad Khan and Sadar Khan and their sponsored revolt in Islamnagar, the 27-years-old widow Mamola Bai the stepmother of the 11-year-old Faiz Mohammad Khan appointed him as the new Nawab of Bhopal and successfully had him recognized by the Mughal Emperor Muhammad Shah, through the efforts of the chief scribe Bijjeh Ram.
