The film was shot in late 1968 and early 1969, on location near Nowra and in the studio of Ajax Films.
This studio had previously been used by Cinesound Productions and Southern International Productions and was where Ajax became involved with feature films, providing facilities for They're a Weird Mob (1966), among others.
Shooting took place in the studio of Ajax Films in Sydney and on location in St Patrick's College, Manly, and Mount Pleasant vineyard in the Hunter Valley.
