Alban Berg Quartet

Among the prizes obtained by their recordings were the Grand Prix du Disque, the Deutscher Schallplattenpreis, the Japanese Grand Prix and the Vienna Flötenuhr.

The Alban Berg Quartett was a string quartet founded in Vienna, Austria in 1970, named after the famous composer Alban Berg.

The Quartet's inclination and conviction was towards the Viennese classics, through the Romantic tradition to the works of Berg, Schoenberg, Webern and Bartók, and embracing great contemporary composers.

Cuarteto Casals

They have studied with Walter Levin and Rainer Schmidt in Barcelona, as well as undertaking graduate work in Cologne under the Alban Berg Quartet and Harald Schoneweg.

The Greenwich Trio received regular coaching from Bernard Greenhouse and Stephen Kovacevich, and has also received coaching from Beaux Arts Trio, Ivry Gitlis, Alban Berg Quartet, Wihan Quartet, The Schubert Ensemble, Israel Piano Trio, and Rivka Golani.
