Albinus Roberts Nance (March 30, 1848 – December 7, 1911) was an American politician.
Later the tradition was reinforced by a miracle recorded in the 10th century, when the walled town of Guérande, near the mouth of the Loire, prayed to St. Albinus for help and found their attackers miraculously defeated.

In 529, St. Albinus was elected, against his wishes, Bishop of Angers.

Born to a noble Gallo-Roman family at Vannes, Brittany, St. Albinus was a monk and from 504 C.E. Abbot of Tintillac (which no longer stands; its location has not been satisfactorily identified).
His origins are unknown, although its name suggests it belonged to an aristocratic Roman families of Decii and of the Anicii: it is likely that he was the grandson of the consul of 480, Caecina Decius Maximus Basilius, and perhaps he was the son of the consul of 493, Albinus.
Despite this, Albinus kept his command until after the murders of Commodus and his successor Pertinax in 193.
In Allan Massie's 1993 book entitled Caesar, Decimus Junius Brutus Albinus narrates his story and reason for joining in Caesar's assassination while being held captive by the Gallic chief.
