She attended Cornell University, where she was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority, and had a long career as a public health doctor, primarily in Central America and Mexico.
Born in Kane, Pennsylvania, Conti graduated from Duquesne University with her Bachelor's degree in 1970 where she was a member of Alpha Phi.
She was the first woman to receive a golf scholarship from Oklahoma City University, where she competed on the men's team and she was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority.
