She has been a three-time consecutive winner of the Phi Theta Kappa Nota Bene International Literary Awards (poetry), a three-time consecutive winner of the Phi Theta Kappa Regional Literary Awards (poetry), and received PTK’s highest award, the International Citation Award (1997).
