Previous sessions have taken place in 1999 and 2003 at the Paulshof next to Altlandsberg near Berlin.
In the year 2000, at the initiative of Ravindra Gujjula, an Indian born Mayor of Altlandsberg town, near Berlin organized an elephant race at Hoppegarten, which was very successful as more than 40,000 people witnessed the race.
In four villages near Avanigadda, Andhra Pradesh tsunami shelters doubling as school buildings were constructed using charitable donations from the German Government and organisations such as Lions Club, Altlandsberg, Solidarity Service International (SODI) and Aktion Deutschland Hilft and Berlin Lichtenberg.
