Alfredo Luís de Campos (January 21, 1809 in Angra do Heroísmo – ?? in Angra do Heroísmo) was an Azorean professor, writer and journalist and wrote several works on theatricals and collected volumes in various journals.
The IELP has regular activities in four localities: Mercês (Lisbon), Maia (Porto), Ponte de Lima (North), and Angra do Heroismo (Açores).
Some believe that Jácome founded the city of Angra do Heroísmo, the largest city on the island, but others support the claim of Álvaro Martins.

Little is known of his infancy and childhood; Chagas wrote that his first studies occurred in the city of Angra, where he received ecclesiastical training, but, owing for the absence of a bishop in the Diocese de Angra, he travelled to Lisbon in 1612, in order to be ordained priest.
