The Danish fleet was unaware that frigates were on the way to protect the British base on Anholt, known as Fort York, and had been reinforced with artillery.
It provide a range of services, including operating regularly scheduled flights from Copenhagen Airport, Roskilde (ICAO: EKRK) to the Danish islands of Anholt and Læsø; managing the airfield on Anholt, and is also a major air taxi operator in Denmark, operating from EKRK.
The couple were married at Anholt and later produced four children, two of which would die young and one who would go on to have progeny.
