There she worked under the guidance of the French sculptor Marcel Gimond, of the École des Beaux-Arts and also in Museums and Public Galleries in Paris.
Prior to this she was the founding director of the Climatic Impacts Centre at Macquarie University where she continues to hold a Professorship in Physical Geography.
