Ann Strother

In October 2013, Strother got engaged to her boyfriend Jason Abromaitis, brother of Notre Dame star Tim Abromaitis.

She went to Heritage High School for two years then transferred to Highlands Ranch High School where she helped the basketball team to win two Colorado State Championships.

At UConn, Strother would play for future Hall of Fame inductee Geno Auriemma and alongside two-time National Player of the Year Diana Taurasi while helping Connecticut to its fourth and fifth national titles.

Although she had not heard of the school, prior to a tip from colleague Ann Strother that the Eagles were looking to fill the position, head coach Karl Smesko had heard of Thomas.
