Many Bengali stories like Devdas and Aradhana were used as plots for Telugu movies afterwards.
The album was produced by Vijaya Ramanayaka, who has produced several films including Yuganthaya, Aradhana,Maldeniye and Simion, and more than 500 audio recordings.
On 3 February 2013, she led and accompanied Nithyasree Mahadevan on Nithyasree's return-to-stage performance (after a traumatic period in Nithyasree's personal life) at the TTK auditorium of The Music Academy, Chennai, to observe Tyagaraja aradhana.
In Shakti Samanta's film Aradhana, Sharmila Tagore was seen reading this book during a song sequence.
