(died 1808) was Archdeacon of Durham from 1791–1808.
In 1849 he inherited the very substantial estates (estimated at over £250,000 - equivalent to ca£10 million in 2005) of his great-uncle, Rev. Dr. Richard Prosser, Archdeacon of Durham.

Charles Thorp (13 October 1783 - 10 October 1862) was an English churchman, rector of the parish of Ryton and, later, Archdeacon of Durham and the first warden of the University of Durham.
