During those years he published two volumes of short fiction: Where Have You Gone, Arik Einstein? (1999), and Dreaming Of Junkfood (2001).
Huxley went on to write for Israeli singers, the most prominent being Arik Einstein who had a hit “Akhi Noam”, (eng. When You’re Gone) which Huxley had written for the Churchills’.
The band was a leading force in the early Israeli beat scene, but it was their cooperation with Arik Einstein that helped them cross over to the mainstream of Israeli pop and gain recognition.
During this period he began writing a column for the weekend supplement of the Ma'ariv newspaper, and he joined the entertainment troupe "Lul" with Uri Zohar, Arik Einstein, and Shalom Hanoch.
