The masterplan and school buildings, designed by architects and engineers from Arup Associates and Ove Arup & Partners, combine local building techniques and materials with leading edge environmental design to make them effective in the extreme climate.
The building currently standing on the site, designed by Arup, is currently occupied by Merrill Lynch International.

By May 2007 engineering firm Arup informed the municipal authorities that the structure was technically infeasible as designed, given that a number of structural assumptions had not been tested and appeared to violate the limitations of known materials.
The stadium was constructed by South African companies Stefanutti Stocks and Omnistruct Nkosi with help from structural engineers Arup of Durban.
The stadium architects are Reid Fenwick Asociados and ArupSport, and the cost is estimated between 250 and 300 million euros.

The Canton Tower is designed by the Dutch architects Mark Hemel and Barbara Kuit of Information Based Architecture, together with Arup, the international design, engineering and business consulting firm headquartered in London, United Kingdom.
Expedition Engineering was founded in 1999 by Professor Chris Wise (engineer for the Millennium Bridge, London) and Seán Walsh, both former employees at Arup.
The Centre collaborates with internationally leading academic institutions in the UK and overseas and works with world class firms such as GSK, IBM, Arup, Laing O'Rourke, CSC and BP, disseminating its findings widely.
In contrast to Leckhampton House's suburban late-Victorianism, the George Thomson Building (named after the Nobel Prize-winning physicist George Paget Thomson, sometime master of the college) is an example of postwar modernism, designed by Sir Philip Dowson of Arup Associates.
Participants come from some of the world's leading architectural and engineering practices (such as Arup, Buro Happold, Foster + Partners, Grimshaw Architects and KPF) and educational institutions (including MIT, Architectural Association, The Bartlett, University of Bath and Delft University of Technology).
