Despite the backing of several members of the House of Lords, and Austin Mitchell MP, the ACT was unable to change the law in the UK with regards to the use of cannabis.
Two new lifts at a cost of £2 million were installed in 2011 and were opened by Grimsby MP Austin Mitchell on Tuesday 19 July 2011.
