The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities was originally built in 1835 near the Asbakiya Gardens.
They established the hospital on Ramses Street in Azbakeya and owned other properties (both land and commercial apartment buildings).
During the latter half of the 15th century, two final major transformations took place in Cairo: the port of Bulaq, and a district called al-Azbakiyyah in the northwest section of the city.
Rizk was born into a middle-class family and lived his childhood in a popular district in Cairo "Azbakeya" in a house built by his grandfather, Rizk Bek Ibrahim, in 1912.
