In 1967, as RCA Victrola reissued numerous recordings of Arturo Toscanini and the NBC Symphony Orchestra, Seraphim reissued some of Toscanini's British recordings with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, made in London's Queen's Hall from 1937 to 1939.
Athanor is also the name of a musical work for orchestra by French composer Joël-François Durand, written in 2001 and premiered by the BBC Symphony Orchestra (cond. Pierre-André Valade), in 2003.
In December 2005, Danny was invited to sing alongside Elaine Paige and John Barrowman in a Christmas concert performed at the Birmingham Symphony Hall, with the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

He then worked with a wide variety of orchestras and ensembles including the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and BBC Symphony Orchestra.
His work Traces Remain, which takes its name and inspiration from a book of essays by Charles Nicholl, was premiered on 8 January 2014 at the Barbican Centre, London by the BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sakari Oramo, and was broadcast live by BBC Radio 3.
Current projects include a new piece commissioned by Los Angeles Philharmonic to be premiere at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in 2011, and an octet for members of the BBC Symphony Orchestra for broadcast on BBC Radio 3, and an other commission from the 2011 Aldeburgh Festival for the Barbirolli Quartet which will subsequently tour to the Verbier Festival, Switzerland.
While his best known composition is the 1975 theme to "Close to Home", a New Zealand soap opera, his music as been performed by Lontano, the Kronos Quartet (on Early Music (Lachrymae Antiquae)), ARC, the New Zealand String Quartet, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

During the early 1990s Grange completed two BBC commissions, Focus and Fade for the BBC Symphony Orchestra, who gave the premiere at the Royal Festival Hall in 1992 conducted by Andrew Davies, and Lowry Dreamscape, which was premiered at the 1993 BBC Festival of Brass by the Sun Life Brass Band conducted by Roy Newsome.
