Carlo Thränhardt (born 1957-07-05 in Bad Lauchstädt, Saxony-Anhalt) is a German high jumper, who won the silver medal at the 1981 European Indoor Championships in Grenoble.
According to the will of John George I, Christian received Merseburg and the cities of Bad Lauchstädt, Schkeuditz, Lützen, and Zwenkauand with their castles, half of the towns of Brehna, Zörbig, and Finsterwalde, and the Margraviate of Lower Lusatia, including the towns and castles of Lübben, Dobrilugk, Finsterwalde, Guben, Luckau, Calau, and Spremberg; this settlement created the Duchy of Saxe-Merseburg with Christian as its ruler.
She led the government and initiated the construction of a spa in Bad Lauchstädt.
Klaus-Jürgen Grünke (born March 30, 1951 in Bad Lauchstädt, Saxony-Anhalt) is a retired track cyclist from East Germany, who represented his native country at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada.
It was disbanded in January 2008, and its member municipalities were incorporated by Bad Lauchstädt.
