Georg Christian Thilenius (October 4, 1868 - December 28, 1937) was a German physician and anthropologist who was a native of Soden am Taunus.
The Soden Railway (Sodener Bahn), a 6.6 km long branch line running from the to Frankfurt-Höchst station to Bad Soden, had been operated since its opening in 1847 by the Taunus Railway and in 1862/63 it was taken by it.

The line is only 5.2 kilometres long and is served by S-Bahn line S3, connecting Bad Soden station—which is a terminus also used by the Soden Railway—via Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof to Darmstadt Hbf.
Since 1972, there has been a connection in Bad Soden to the Limes Railway to Niederhöchstadt, which connects Bad Soden with the Rhine-Main S-Bahn network.
