Now based in the U.K. he is the only Brazilian to complete Badminton Horse Trials and Burghley Horse Trials several times.
Bartle then took the opportunity to turn back to eventing and had a whole host of successes which included winning team Gold at the 1997 European Championships with the British Event Team, before winning the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials in 1998, on his horse Word Perfect II.
However it was at the Badminton CCI**** in 2003 that the pair shone, winning the Glentrool Trophy for a superb showing in the cross country and ending up in 19th place overall.
Green began riding at the age of four and is most well known for winning the Badminton Horse Trials a record six times, on six different horses: Be Fair (1973), Wideawake (1976), George (1977), Killaire (1979), Regal Realm (1983) and Beagle Bay (1984).

In 1984, Green attended Badminton, and not only won for the sixth time, on Beagle Bay, but also placed fifth on Village Gossip.
They are also sometimes brought in to horse expeditions and shows such as the Grand National, Horse Of The Year Show and the Badminton Horse Trials.
She was born and raised in Malta and won several national and international titles, including the European Champion, the Badminton Horse Trials and the Burghley Horse Trials a record five times.

The duo had a terrific success together, completing Badminton several times, receiving the silver medal at the 1990 FEI World Equestrian Games in Stockholm representing the British Team, and competing in the Barcelona Olympics.
He is remembered primarily for his role in Funnell's completion of the Grand Slam of Eventing, winning the Badminton Horse Trials, the Rolex Kentucky Three Day and The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials.
