The record attendance was 41,826 for a match against Tottenham Hotspur in 1969, just after Derby County were promoted under the management of Brian Clough, at the beginning of the most successful era in the club's history.

Clough guided Derby County to the league title in 1972 and his successor Dave Mackay oversaw another title triumph in 1975.

Ramsline Halt railway station

Ramsline Halt, previously Baseball Ground Halt, was a single-platform railway station that opened in 1990 to serve the Baseball Ground, the former home of Derby County football club in England.


Hughie Gallacher

He was taken under the wing of fellow Scotsmen Dally Duncan and an old Newcastle United friend, Jimmy Boyd, and was said to have been as good as gold during his Baseball Ground days.
