Battle of Guilford Court House, an American Revolutionary War battle in 1781, Guilford County, North Carolina.
Early on, the nickname Greensboro Patriots was applied to those teams, in reference to the Battle of Guilford Court House.
Weakly joined the Revolutionary Army at the age of sixteen and served until the close of the American Revolutionary War, fighting in the battles of Alamance and Guilford Courthouse.
