Bebra station is a railway station on the German passenger and freight rail network in the northern Hesse town of Bebra.
Up to 1962 they were allocated to Bebra locomotive depot (Bahnbetriebswerk or Bw), before being transferred to Bw Kassel where they worked alongside the DRG Class 01.10s until 20 March 1967 heading fast-stopping and express trains to and from Gießen.
The latter was required for the border-crossing traffic to Bebra and Hamburg-Altona and services on the Dresden-Berlin line.
In 1947 it had a general inspection and on 23 October 1948 it was stationed in Bebra, where it was in regular service until May 1949.
The Hessian Ludwig Railway (Hessische Ludwigs-Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft, HLB), which was established in the Grand Duchy of Hesse recognized the importance of the HLB for the expansion of railway services in the Rhine-Main region, particularly to the province of Upper Hesse (an exclave of the Grand Duchy), from the Rhine-Main area to Bavaria and via the Kinzig valley to Bebra.
The former monument locomotive, ex-DB 012 102-4 (oil) from Bebra, now streamlined steam locomotive number 01 1102, also known as the "Blue-Lady“, was completely overhauled from 1994–96 and delivered to the owner, Johannes Klings, on 1 March 1996.
Starting from Erfurt station the line runs west through the Gera valley on the northern side of the tracks of the Thüringer Bahn (Halle-Bebra line).

Bebra became part of the German railway network on 29 August 1848, with commissioning of the first section of the Frederick William Northern Railway to Guxhagen.
In Bad Hersfeld, the line swings into the valley of the Haun.
Some of the vehicles were previously used on the Kassel–Eichenberg–Göttingen and Bebra–Eichenberg–Göttingen lines, where the services were operated by Cantus Verkehrsgesellschaft.
On the re-opening of the Thuringian Railway in 1991 the section from Eisenach to Bebra was also known as the Werratalbahn.
