In the 1940s and 1950s, he was closely associated with Bud Collyer, as announcer on three Collyer-hosted game shows, Winner Take All, Beat the Clock, and To Tell the Truth, all produced by Mark Goodson and Bill Todman.

Frederick S. Todman & Co represented some of the United States biggest companies, including The New York Stock Exchange, American Stock Exchange, Polaroid, Eastman Kodak, Chase Manhattan Bank among many others.


Johnny Olson

Olson's first TV announcing job was on the final year of the original Name That Tune in 1958; in that year Olson also announced the Merv Griffin-hosted Play Your Hunch, which lasted until 1963 and began his long association with Mark Goodson-Bill Todman Productions, five years earlier.

Larry Blyden

Having been hired as host of the Mark Goodson-Bill Todman game show Showoffs, Blyden left the cast of the Broadway production of the Alan Ayckbourn comedy Absurd Person Singular and videotaped a pilot for the game show on May 24.
