1987's Blood Diner was produced with the intention of making it a "spiritual sequel" to Blood Feast.
It is the third part of what the director's fans have dubbed "The Blood Trilogy", including Blood Feast (1963) and Two Thousand Maniacs! (1964).
The album cover is taken from the poster for the classical horror film Blood Feast.
On VHS and DVD, the film has been released by various titles including Blood Feast (not to be confused with the Herschell Gordon Lewis film of the same name).
