Certain critics have said that Rayne, from the videogame series BloodRayne shows a strong similarity to Durham Red, having the same weapons and distinctive red hair.
He noted that both David Jaffe and Cory Barlog (game directors of God of War and God of War II respectively) ensured the Betrayal development team captured the feel of the combat and visual style, and were "helpful with feedback and positive support".

The protagonist is Kratos, a former Captain of Sparta's army who became the new God of War after killing his predecessor, Ares.
A few years later, it was independently developed by Chris Crawford, a game designer, for his game, Trust & Betrayal: The Legacy of Siboot, but the implementation was different enough not to infringe on the patent.

Tron: Betrayal was then collected as a 128-page trade paperback by Disney Press in November 2010 (ISBN 1-4231-3463-X), which contains a new 11-page retelling of the 1982 Tron film illustrated by Jeff Matsuda.
