Blue Angels Peak

The peak was named in honor of the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, which was based at a nearby naval air facility in El Centro.

E. Duke Vincent

Vincent, a 1960-61 naval aviator who was a member of the famed Blue Angels flying team, had a 40-year career in television writing and production, involving 2300 hours of television.

There is also a Junior Royale parade for children and a Festival Airshow, including periodic visits from the Blue Angels.

Pensacola Ice Flyers

The "Ice Flyers" name has a double meaning – it is both a tribute to Pensacola's heritage in Naval aviation (Naval Air Station Pensacola is home to the legendary Blue Angels and the National Museum of Naval Aviation) and an homage to original owner Tim Kerr, who previously played eleven seasons with the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers.
