Bohemiatupus

Bohemiatupus elegans is the first described occurrence of large griffenflies found in the continental basins of the Bohemian Massif.

Noeggerathia

Several well-preserved specimens of Noeggerathia and related plants have been discovered in the Bohemian Massif, with N. foliosa having the most complete fossil record in that area.


Imperial Royal Austrian State Railways

The introduction of railway traffic in the Austrian Empire had been pushed by pioneers like physicist František Josef Gerstner (1756–1832), who advocated a railway connection from the Vltava basin across the Bohemian Massif to the Danube river.
