Brading

The Victorian diarist Francis Kilvert visited Brading on the day of John Oglander's funeral and recorded details of his visit to Brading in his diary.

Foreland

It is located three miles (five kilometres) east of the town of Brading, and due south of the city of Portsmouth on the British mainland.

Francis Coldwells

At one time he occupied the office of harbourmaster at Brading, Isle of Wight before moving to Croydon in the southern suburbs of London where he established a tailoring business.
