The band recorded a few songs in 2009, including a cover of B.o.B's popular song "Airplanes", featuring Tom Denney (ex-A Day to Remember) and former band mate Kellin Quinn (Sleeping with Sirens).
Brian Calzini, a friend of Denney's, stopped by Denney's studio, Titan Studio, while he was working on a song.
Originally set for release on March 15, the release was delayed after a car accident the band had while touring through the US at the beginning of 2011, when lead vocalist Brian Calzini was brought into the hospital.
We Are Defiance was formed in 2009 by former Paddock Park vocalist Brian Calzini.
